#PremierLeagueStories – #MarceloBielsa disappointed Leeds’ Youngsters did not perform to the expectations in the league cup #LUFC

Marcelo Bielsa Leeds

Marcelo Bielsa says Leeds United’s youngsters need to show they have what it takes on the pitch as well as the training ground. The Leeds boss rang the changes for the Carabao Cup game against Hull City, only to see his gamble backfire as they lost on penalties in a below-par performance. Bielsa changed his entire starting XI and said the players who played have blown a chance to get more regular football in the competition.

Marcelo Bielsa said “They have waited to play for this club, but when you wear this shirt you need to want to play, to eat the grass on the pitch. In training they are good and they work hard, but it’s more important in matches to show the manager they are ready. Now we lose, it’s a chance less to show him. Not so good because the cup is a chance to play. They are young, they will have time to show, but you don’t have a lot of time to show. It’s not good, but when we lose it’s an opportunity less.”
