Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed the signing of Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who said that he was delighted to join a club that had fantastic players, manager and set up for him to succeed. Spurs’ former Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen also tweeted the club and said that the club knew how to look after Danes!
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg said “What was very important for me is that I wanted to play in a club where I could see myself for many years, and Tottenham was just the one, I’m very proud, happy, excited. There is a fantastic future ahead for the club and I wanted so much to be a part of that. If you want to achieve the big things I think you need 11 leaders on the pitch. To do that everybody needs to take responsibility in their position, bringing everything they have into the team. I like to say that whatever you put in you get out. Spurs have fantastic players, a fantastic manager, fantastic set-up.”
Christian Eriksen said “Spurs i know you know how to take good care of the Danes. So im sure you will do the same with Hojbjerg, good luck.”
