Sean Dyche has doubled down on his suggestion that Mike Dean was right to award Burnley a stoppage-time penalty, by claiming they deserved not only one but two spot-kicks. A 95th-minute equaliser from Chris Wood ends Wolves’ hopes of finishing in the top four although they do have Europa League from where they can still get to the Champions League next season. Wolves skipper Conor Coady felt his side were hard done by, but Clarets boss Dyche said not only was the decision correct, but it should also have been their second penalty of the night.

Sean Dyche said “Yeah, I don’t enjoy those moments but we have seen penalties given, and I am not going to name names, but they get touched on the shoulder and their legs collapse and we don’t do that and we get nothing, There was a number of incidents tonight which I can’t work out. If you don’t roll around on the floor squealing you get nothing and if you do it is not for me. We are stuck in an awkward predicament. I haven’t seen the moment (on Brownhill) again but he definitely gets dragged across his shoulder and it is enough to affect his running gait. He tries to stay on his feet and do the right thing and gets nothing.”
