Ezequiel Schelotto has revealed he is leaving Brighton – and would love a return to Italy. The right-back says he is set to move on when his contract expires at the end of the month after failing to reach agreement over a new deal.
Ezequiel Schelotto “I’ve been here for three years and I thank the club who opened the doors for me to the best league in the world. We were talking about renewal. It was positive. I thought I could stay but they set different conditions than I imagined. I’m 31 and I have a lot to give to football. I say thank you to Brighton but I have to continue on my own path. I wanted a bit of recognition for what I’ve done in this shirt. It wasn’t to be but we leave well.”
