West Ham manager David Moyes says the club have yet to enter discussions with forward Michail Antonio over a new contract in east London after some sparking performances since the restart. Antonio is out of contract at the capital at the end of the 2020/21 season along with seven other senior players, the youngest of who will be Fabian Balbuena at the age of 28 when his three-year deal expires. Antonio has been in great form since the football resumed and has played a crucial role in giving West Ham four points in the last three games with crucial goals against Chelsea and Newcastle United.

David Moyes said “I think it is something that once we are in a position to look at it, we can look at it but I don’t think it is something we are jumping all over just now., First of all we need to find out what league we are in, we have got a job to do. We have not taken our focus for one minute away from the next game. Maybe at the end of the season it will be something we will look at. I think he’s got an awful lot to offer. He’s got pace and power, if you think about it he’s played right wing-back, left wing-back, right winger left winger, we’re playing him as a centre-forward. So he’s someone who can fill several roles, partly because of his pace, He’s helping us. He’s carrying the frontline for us greatly, he’s got us a couple of goals and probably should have had another against Chelsea when he was through. So he’s had a couple of chances in every game, let’s hope he continues to take them.”
