Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson stressed his desire to “keep achieving new things” and is hopeful of a place at next summer’s rescheduled European Championship with England. The Coventry-born frontman has enjoyed an impressive rise from non-league loan spells to scoring on his England debut against the USA in November 2018. And the 28-year-old insisted he would still be working hard to remain in the Three Lions picture.
Callum Wilson said “I have based myself and my career and I’ve got to this point from hard work. I would definitely not be resting on what I’ve done so far and want to keep achieving new things. Of course (If England striking options excite him). I would always focus on myself but you definitely need to be making sure that you put in as much hard work as possible. There’s great talent in the league, of English strikers, midfielders, every position really. You just have to make sure that I am doing everything I can, focusing on myself and hopefully come next summer, I will be part of the squad.”
