#PremierLeagueStories @ManCity – Pep Guardiola wants Citizens to start showing class and Manchester City injuries are being managed to win all cup tournaments

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola condemned the actions of supporters after allegations on Thursday night of missiles thrown and songs mocking the Munich air disaster.

Manchester City advanced to league cup final for a chance to lift league cup for 3rd time successively but the semi-final was marred by footage showing City fans making airplane gestures, which is seen as a reference to the 1958 air disaster in Germany involving Manchester United. There were also witness accounts of seats ripped and thrown from the away end at the Etihad Stadium. City will now look at CCTV to see if action needs to be taken.

Pep Guardiola said “I didn’t know about it but I don’t like it. When you talk about what happened, I didn’t know it, but that is not nice. Absolutely not.”

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy will undergo  fitness tests ahead of the weekend trip to Tottenham.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola  said “Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho are not completely fit. Benjamin Mendy neither. We’ll see in the next days. I am pretty sure they will be OK for West Ham, but I don’t know for Spurs. We don’t want to take risks. Fernandinho has had a few problems, Aymeric Laporte has not recovered from Sheffield United and Benjamin Mendy is a bit better.”

Manchester City are currently 19 points behind Liverpool and have given up battle to retain premier league title.  They are not focussing on cup tournaments and making sure the squad is ready to challenge champions league, FA Cup and League cup titles.
