Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has insisted that focus should be on improving team results instead of his position and performance at the club.

Quique Sanchez Flores  said “Every single weekend, there are a lot of managers under pressure, it is normal.

It is the nature of our profession and we accept that when anything happens, it is our responsibility. When we accept the challenge to lead teams, we accept the pressure and the responsibility that comes with the job. This is the situation. I think we are making a big mistake talking about me and about my job, my position. Finally, the situation is not about my position, a coach. You are talking about the happiness of a lot of people. This is the most important thing. The happiness of the fans, the future of the club, the future of the squad, (we should be) talking about that.”

After sacking of Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino, premier league fans can start finding patterns in the performances on pitch and media talk done by manager’s under sack pressure. Sanchez Flores who joined Watford in September has enjoyed just one Premier League win since his return, against fellow strugglers Norwich. He claims to enjoy full support and regular dialogue with the club hierarchy. But it’s a well known fact that when results on pitch do not come , club and owner’s are thin with patience.  Watford has a winnable game against fellow struggler’s Southampton and this may be a knockout match for the future of one manager involved in the game.

SAINTS boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has expressed being thrilled with new director of football operations appointment of Matt Crocker at the club.

Ralph Hasenhuttl said “I know a lot about him. I know he has worked for this club once and had a very good impact. He was a part of a very successful time for this football club. I think he was here for six years. A lot of very good players went through his time when he was looking after the academy. It’s important for me and for the club that oversees everything. It’s important to have one that makes a job like he has done at the FA. He creates a philosophy, but he doesn’t just create, he lives it. That’s what I expect from him and that’s why I think it’s a really good thing for the club.”

Crocker  has been at the FA for the last six years and will start his role at Southampton in early 2020. Prior to FA, Crocker has done tremendous work as Southampton’s academy manager. Crocker had overseen the development of star players like Gareth Bale, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Luke Shaw as they made stand out performances at the club and eventually being bought by big clubs in English Premier League. Crocker faces a difficult task to rebuild Saints into a formidable Premier League side, after another struggling start to the season for manager Ralph Hasenhuttl. Hasenhuttl took over following Mark Hughes’ departure in early December 2018 and went on to guide Southampton to safety. However, 2019/2020 season has been difficult for the manager and club as they continue to battle to survive relegation scrap.

Mauricio Pochettino has spoken of his gratitude for being “part of Tottenham Hotspur’s history”. The Argentinian was sacked last week after five years in the job following Spurs’ slump in form, before being swiftly replaced by Jose Mourinho.

Pochettino said: “I would like to thank Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy for giving me the opportunity to be part of Tottenham Hotspur’s history. I would like to thank also everyone I met at Tottenham, all the club staff and the football players during these five and a half years. Finally I would like to give a special mention to the fans who make this club so great with their fantastic support. I gave the best of me to accomplish the objectives I was asked for in our first meeting. There were equally tough challenges as exciting success. Best wishes for the future, I am sure we will cross paths again.”

Former Espanyol and Southampton boss Pochettino had a meteoric rise to his career with outstanding rebuilding of Tottenham club where not only did they challenge for premier league, champions league and fa CUP titles but also managed to set aside finances for stadium rebuilding. If anyone considers him a failure of not having won any trophy can be easily challenged by the achievements, consistency and tenure at the club which is no easy feat in brutal English Premier League. Pochettino has been linked with a swift return to the game, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich suggested as potential destinations.
