2019/2020 premier League season is going to be remembered for Liverpools title charge and one more unique and historic record. Current season has given chance to several future stars of premier league and made it an exciting contest between clubs having the best blend of youngsters and experienced players.
- Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) has risen meteorically through the ranks, going from Brazil’s fourth tier to the Premier League.Martinelli is already looking comfortable in Arsenal colors after making big impact in pre season tour and league cup.
- Harry Wilson (Bournemouth) has used the most of his loan from Liverpool and already scored four goals this season for his temporary club.
- Aaron Connolly (Brighton & Hove Albion) is one of the positive things at the start of Brighton’s campaign. At only 19-years-old he has shone brightly in the squad and grabbed a sensational double against Tottenham Hotspur on his full Premier League debut.
- Mason Mount (Chelsea) is Chelsea’s best player to operate between the midfield and forward lines. He moves into these areas and, once there, knows where to go. By stepping off the forward line, Mount vacates the space he was in and draws one of the opponent players to do the same, otherwise Mount would be open for a pass.
- Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) has certainly seized his opportunity since returning to Chelsea in the summer, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 18 games in all competitions and his all-round game has drawn comparisons with big strikers like Harry Kane.
- Fikaro Tomori (Chelsea) is 21-year-old centre-back who has been one of the beneficiaries of Frank Lampard being named as Blues manager at the start of the season. He has already established himself as a first-team regular at the Blues.
- Reece James (Chelsea) is also called ‘The Beast’ because he is so strong, quick and powerful. His team mates warned to not get too close to him in training because he will get you off the ball. James has shown his ability to send in accurate crosses which make him integral to the setup of Chelsea team and Lampard’s quick switch play on either flanks.
- James Maddison (Leicester) is today regarded as one of the best playmakers in the league, known for his excellent ball control, great passing range and dangerous crosses in the opponent’s penalty box. Maddison is a modern attacking midfielder, who is skillful and possesses an impressive vision and knack for scoring attractive long-range goals.
- Daniel James (Manchester United) had three Premier League goals in his first four appearances, as well as for a completely new team, showed how well he slotted in on either wing. Typically a left-sided player, James has shown potential on the right with energy and vibrancy in abundance. James is still raw in certain areas of his game, but definitely a gem that will continue to improve and grow.

Predictions are being made about Rafa Benitez return to Premier League after his comments. Rafa said “My wife wants me back in the Premier League. The question is which club of Arsenal, West Ham , Everton and Watford will the talented manager take the job.
Rafa Benitez is under consideration to take over at Everton despite his association with bitter Merseyside rivals Liverpool.It will be a revisit to Brian Clough/Don Revie days if Rafael is hired by Everton FC to replace Marco Silva. Rafael Benitez has always stood by his description of Everton as a “small club”, delivered years ago although he has many times clarified about it. Rafa Benitez said ” I didn’t want to be disrespectful to the club. I was talking about the way they were playing, not the club as David Moyes’ side’s had an unambitious display in 0 – 0 draw”. Benitez is a different man these days, calmer, more mature and far less prone to tabloid-baiting headlines.
With 13 trophies sparkling on a silver-coated CV, including titles at Valencia, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Liverpool, Benitez is by far the most decorated coach to be linked with Marco Silva’s job at Goodison Park – especially when you take into consideration the other contenders; namely Mark Hughes and David Moyes. However, football is as much an emotions, style, loyalty and perception game vs. just getting a winning result. It will certainly be a script written once more for “Damn United” movie if Benitez decides to take up management at Goodison Park , few yards from Anfield.

Will striker Michael Obafemi make difference in Southampton’s crumbling season ?

MICHAEL Obafemi is hopeful his performance against Arsenal will see him become a regular player in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s starting lineup and help kickstart Southampton’s quest to survive for one more season. Hasenhuttl has previously questioned the youngster’s professionalism and not included him in premier league match day squads this season.
Obafemi said ” I was buzzing to be playing and I think I showed out on the pitch why I should be starting. I just kept my head down and kept working hard and waited for my chance to come. That’s the only way to win back the confidence of manager which is to turn up and put the work in on the training ground. I think it’s been taken on board and I thought I played well against Arsenal. I feel like I am doing well at the moment, so hopefully I can carry on doing that. We all have belief in each other. We are a team on and off the pitch. I don’t think we deserve to be where we are but unfortunate circumstances, like Saturday, put us in that place but we will bounce back”.
Few players tick as many of these boxes as Michael Obafemi .Standing only 5ft 7in tall but broad shouldered, like an Olympic sprinter, his explosive speed are stand out qualities possessed by the youngster. Hasenhüttl handed out four first-team debuts to Academy graduates in his first month in charge, despite the high-pressure stakes he inherited, with Saints fighting for their Premier League existence. The Irish international became Saints’ youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer in his first appearance under the new boss, three days before Christmas and just 169 days since turning 18.
