Who is behind West Ham’s sudden loss in form

[hr]

The Hammers have not won a match since Fabianski suffered a hip injury at Bournemouth in September which will rule him out until the new year.

Manuel Pellegrini admits West Ham are missing injured goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. Pellegrini is convinced Roberto is not to blame for West Ham’s downturn in results, but acknowledges it is “impossible” not to miss a keeper he feels is among the best in the country. He said “Of course, all of us saw the performances of Lukasz last season and this season. He is a great goalkeeper. Maybe the best goalkeeper in the league. We must be fair with Roberto. He is a good goalkeeper. He made very good saves in the games he played. But, always, to lose that kind of goalkeeper is important for everyone. I don’t want to link that we don’t have the results because Lukasz is injured. It’s impossible not to miss him. But you cannot link the results to just one player. We have a squad. Roberto has quality. That’s why we got him and he is not performing badly.”

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: PREMIER LEAGUE FANS can take a page out of history books to suggest how club does not rely on one player but that one player can make or break the luck a team is having in matches. It is called good luck charm and here are some to name . With Juan Mata at Old Trafford, United have taken 2.33 per game, compared to 1.20 without. Chelsea have a 100% record when Pedro has started games this season.Diogo Jota at Wolves had little trouble in the Premier League with the Portuguese playmaker helping the team achieve an impressive 2.10 points per game. Pochettino’s views on becoming a pundit

[hr]

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says he has no desire to swap the dugout for a TV studio.

Pochettino has never had a problem with people getting paid to offer their opinion, but insists it is not something he would like to do. He said  “No, in my mind it is going to be difficult. In football I respect all the opinions but (I couldn’t do it) because I respect too much the job of manager and players. And because when you are not in the place you have all the information and then when you give your opinion people in the club are laughing about your opinion. And if you go and talk in public in the end it is very dangerous. To be honest I don’t like too much. One day I may change my mind and say I go, but today no because the responsibility is massive.”

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: PREMIER LEAGUE FANS understand that media today has become such an important part of football. Newspapers, tabloids, news networks and sports channels all have websites and have their respective experts who have very interesting views about football. But the key question for most of these ex players who do punditry is how much of football knowledge, players dressing room insight and club bias do they carry when they come to put their view points on others.

Is happiness coming back to Manchester United

[hr]

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists that the mood around Manchester United’s first-team squad is now “miles better” than it was in previous weeks and months, due in large part to having been through tough times as a unit and come through to the other side.

Solskjaer insists everyone at the club is enjoying themselves at the moment. Whether that is the product or the catalyst of the Red Devils’ recent resurgence (three straight wins across three different competitions) is tough to say. It’s easy to see the good times rolling on once they get stuck inside that cycle happiness. Most notable of that success he believes has been involvement of Tony Martial. He had a long run of games as a no. 9 since he played many years ago , he is maturing and obsessed with scoring goals.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: PREMIER LEAGUE FANS have seen a massive rebuilding in Manchester United after legendary Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Many managers have come in , tried to implement their philosophy and failed.  Solskjaer is going back to basic where young dynamic hungry players bring an electric atmosphere to make the club, players and fans happy. However biggest happiness is driven from winning matches and Ole must not get sidelined with the fact that its consistent winning that gives biggest happiness.
