Premier League Headlines ( In Details )

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Manchester United’s draw with Liverpool as a turning point

Manchester United fans , coach Ole and the team were disappointed by Manchester United’s failure to beat Liverpool but the result could prove pivotal and mark a turning point in his side’s campaign.

United looked set to claim a shock victory thanks to Marcus Rashford’s contentious first-half goal, only for Adam Lallana to rescue a point for Liverpool late on.  Despite airing his frustration at United’s failure to hold onto the points, Solskjaer suggested his side can treat the result as a watershed moment in their season. Ole said “A great response from the boys. We know we have a team who work for each other and there’s a great atmosphere. Maybe this will turn the season. They’re disappointed in the dressing room because they know they should have won. Newcastle loss was a low point for us. We’ve got players coming back from injury and illness and we’ll only improve because more will come back very soon. I’m pleased. You can’t look too far. You have to win games. We’re Manchester United and need to win more games. It was a lost opportunity but we go to the next one.”

Premier League Museum Editor Notes:  It’s a very season for both Giant’s as well as premier league museum covering past and the present. At see time as inaugural season in 1992, Liverpool and Manchester United had met and drew the games. It had been a pivotal moment for Red Devils as they moved from mid table to a juggernaut and won maiden title that season. Would this match be a pivotal moment for Liverpool or Manchester United

Keeping injury-hit Norwich in Premier League like trying to climb Everest without any tools

Aside from the obvious coaching expertise, the recent influx of German-speaking managers to the Premier League has brought a linguistic benefit, too: the analogy. Jurgen Klopp has patented “heavy metal football”, while David Wagner preferred “full throttle” when he was in charge of Huddersfield Town. Southampton’s Ralph Hasenhuttl said upon his arrival: “If you want a guarantee, buy a washing machine,” when faced with a relegation fight.

After Saturday’s goalless draw away to Bournemouth, Norwich City manager Daniel Farke came up with another fitting metaphor to describe his side’s challenge of trying to stay in the Premier League while simultaneously being struck down with multiple injuries. He said “We have to try to climb Mount Everest at the moment without any tools. It’s not like we want to climb down or to die, we want to see the sun go up and we are on top. We want to stay in this league and try everything to do it. It will be difficult, we know, but we go in our way and style and we will be brave.”

Premier League Museum Editor Notes:  At the start of premier league season , we had made a prediction of how far will attacking style take Norwich ahead or keep them afloat in premier league. We are happy to see attacking style but over the years experience has taught managers that staying in the league is not done by one way but adopting and changing tactics in each match depending on your opponent ( and its not just a counterattacking way ).

Marco Silva remains calm amongst uncalm Evertonians

After Everton’s first Premier League win in five games – a much-needed 2-0 home victory against West Ham., Marco Silva offered no hint he was readying himself for the worst, despite a four-game losing streak. This is unlike Everton fans Everton fans who might admit they are not the most tolerant of their home-grown stars. It is a Goodison curiosity that rather than chants acclaiming ‘one of our own’, you are as likely to hear howls of frustration when the local boy first misplaces a pass.

Credit to west ham to assist Marco Silva and Everton fans in lifting them from doom and gloom. There was more energy shown by those mowing the Goodison lawn post-match than the visiting players. Defensively they were terrorised by Walcott, Richarlison and Bernard, the midfielders barely made a tackle and the attackers made little effort to end their starvation diet.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes:  Results or no results, PREMIER LEAGUE FANS  have to admire Silva’s self-confidence. He has never moaned, used injuries to excuse poor performances, or ducked questions about job security.  Tactics on the pitch may not have given Everton fans things to cheer but off pitch conduct by Marco Silva must be assuring to Everton on having a classy manager similar to Mauricio Potchettino

The Hornets  (Watford ) have not lost their sting

The Hornets are still yet to secure their first win of the Premier League season and were only four minutes away from grabbing three points until Alli snatched that late leveller.. However, hornets have showed their first elusive win isn’t far away and there are several reasons why Watford can battle themselves out of the position they currently find themselves in ( relegation ).

Abdoulaye Doucoure ran the show from midfield and looked like the player who was linked with £40m moves last season and during the summer transfer window. Watford conceded 20 goals in their first seven games of the Premier League season and to say the defence looked atrocious would be an understatement. Quique Sachez Flores switched from Gracia’s 4-2-2-2 formation to a 3-5-2 with a solid back three of Christian Kabasele, Craig Dawson and Craig Cathcart. This saw them keep their first clean sheet of the season against Sheffield United prior to the international break and very close to another clean sheet against Tottenham.  Not much has been made of the injuries Watford have at the moment – and there are some key men currently out. Deeney and Capoue will have a huge impact on the team when they return from the treatment room. Watford’s squad can only get stronger with return of Welbeck and other 2 players to squad.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes:  After suffering the demoralising 8-0 away loss at Manchester City, Watford looked like a team destined for relegation. But their last 2  performances combined with open relegation battle between 8 clubs at the bottom suggest  Hornets haven’t lost their sting to climb up to a position of respect and stay afloat in the league.

Chelsea defenders ran experiments with  Newcastle

Chelsea have been succeeding through trial and error this season, with Frank Lampard teaching the players to think in training so they can make decisions – some wrong – during the games. With Newcastle playing in their 4-5-1 defensive shape, gave the Blues opportunity to try out new things. Extreme possession allowed Chelsea defenders to show all sorts of freedom in their movement.

Marcos Alonso has never stayed within the usual territory of a left-back or left wing-back. Alonso lingered on the right side of the pitch following a set play. Chelsea’s defenders showed purposeful exploration against Newcastle. Had they stayed in their usual spots and stuck to their usual roles, the Blues would have had the usual product against a team like Newcastle. Instead, their movement helped the team find ways to pull Newcastle from side to side and ultimately apart, as it was a right-sided build-up through Christian Pulisic that ended with Marcos Alonso open on the left in a place where one would normally not find a left-back, so he could take a shot one would normally not see from a left-back.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes:  Premier League fans have been impressed and liked what they have seen of blues performance this season. An honest, intense manager intent on having his team play in quick switch attacking football. The players it seems have embraced his style and look up to enjoying their football by trying new thing without holding back. We know how teams with “brakes applied” play at Chelsea.
