Highest paid managers in the English Premier League ?

English Premier League is one of the most followed leagues in modern-day world football. It is  competitive, most watched,  physical and unpredictable to most extent on who will finish top , bottom and qualify for European competition.  The costs for a club, player and manager in leading club to success or doom, promoted or relegated are very high. Premier League Managers are tasked with getting the best out of players and delivering results at the end of the season.  As such, it’s no surprise that top managers from the league are some of the highest-paid across all major leagues.

For curiosity of premier league fans, today we disclose the top 10 managers with compensation and packages below –

  • Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) – £20 million
  • Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham) – £8.5 million

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder – Chances of beating Arsenal exist ?

In upcoming fixtures news, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has expressed confidence that his side can beat Arsenal – and add to Gunner’s away woes on Monday night.

Wilder was typically forthright about his side’s chances of seeing off Unai Emery’s men, having run table-toppers Liverpool exceptionally close last time out. He said “We are competitive and we fancy our chances. We are bullish as you can obviously imagine because that is the approach that we take. The crowd have been absolutely amazing at home. They know how important it is for them to be on the front foot and make it hostile and noisy. A night game at Bramall Lane under the lights, live on Sky, something that we are really looking forward to and getting after the opposition.”

Arsenal have struggled badly to keep clean sheets and get results on the road for a number of years now and the hostile atmosphere on Monday night may intimidate them further. Sheffield United are a team who may not look exceptional when points table are looked but that’s half story told. They are team who play for each other, grind out possession no matter who the opposition is . Of all the 3 teams promoted – Others being Norwich and Aston Villa, Sheffield United look the better and more stable to survive the season and remain in league.

Injury woes heal for Tottenham, will that translate to results ?

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a huge boost ahead of their return after the international break, as summer signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are back in first-team training. While the game against Watford may be too soon for them, the pair have at least joined up first team in training.

Ryan Sessegnon is yet to feature for Pochettino since joining from Fulham in the summer and Giovani Lo Celso has made just three substitute appearances after joining on loan from Real Betis on the same day as Sessegnon. Both players came to Totttenham with impressive performances with their former or parent clubs. When Tottenham took them, it was expected the club is building in right direction with progression from being champions league finalists to finally landing a trophy.

Premier League fans believe the return of both Lo Celso and Sessegnon is a massive positive for Tottenham. Those fresh faces are what’s needed in this side because it has become too stale recently. Having the two deadline day signings coming into the starting eleven will officially signal the beginning of a rebuild which is now so dearly needed  and hopefully lifts the doom and gloom on the club with an impressive stadium, fans , players and manager.

Injury continues to wreck Marco Silva and Everton’s season ?

Marco Silva may feel as though it doesn’t rain at Finch Farm ( Everton training ground )  anymore but pours and pours and pours. What a luck !!

A quadriceps injury meant Jean-Philippe Gbamin was never going to be an option for the embattled Everton manager as he prepares for a crunch game at home to West Ham this weekend, but the news that he will be out until January, was the last thing he needed. Silva already expects to be without Fabian Delph because of a hamstring problem. It once again leaves the Blues boss with the prospect of having to patch up and send out a midfield that is far from ideal. Given Gbamin’s extended absence, Silva would like to partner Andre Gomes and Delph, as he did in the win over Wolves, but as one peels himself off the treatment table, the other slumps down on it.

On the mersey side while the manager is fighting for a job, fans are getting from frustrated to desperate as they watch hardly a mile far club – Liverpool getting closer to glory which alluded both clubs since premier league started. Irony is both clubs were considered heavy weights when premier league started and possessed a big say in the breakaway. Premier League fans  hope to see Everton geting back to hey days again as that is the DNA of the best league where clubs come up and do not just limit to top 2 or 3 only.

Who is key dressing room figure in Newcastle United ?

Newcastle United player Matt Ritchie has been sidelined for a couple of months and Steve Bruce has paid tribute to one of the key figures in the dressing room. Ritchie has relished that leadership role in a young Newcastle team and is constantly cajoling and encouraging his team-mates – even in training.

Steve Bruce admits Newcastle United have missed the ‘effervescent’ Matt Ritchie because of his ‘energy’. The 30-year-old damaged ankle ligaments following a horror tackle by Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury in the Carabao Cup second-round back in August. Steve Bruce said “Of course you’re going to miss someone like Matt because of his energy. He’s effervescent – he’s always, always positive – so we’re without him at the minute so we have to deal without him but certainly Matt Ritchie is one of them “.  Remarkably, Ritchie was back running in straight lines two weeks later but has since undergone a minor operation and could return to action before the end of the month.

Newcastle United so far in 2 months of the league season had the most intriguing moments . From the lows and doom of manager they did not want, lack of quality in the squad, owner disinterested and fans disenchanted. The club even though still a contender of relegation, has not done that badly and created some key wins over Manchester United and Tottenham Spurs. Magpies and toon army are soccer loving fans and premier league fans miss them when they are not playing at premier league. We wish things for the club are sorted out quickly.
