Nial Quinn wanted to shake off any remaining disappointment from his international duty on Arsenal in the premier league match at Highbury. Quinn wanted to use his visit to Arsenal as a therapy to the Spanish defeat and he hoped that Terry Phelan and Alan Kernaghan will do likewise. He also spoke about a toxic atmosphere at Maine road and how his Manchester City teammates were recovering from that.

Nial Quinn said “The best thing any international footballer can do after losing a match like that is to get out on the pitch and take it out on the ball. And I can think of no better match for me than a big game against Arsenal. Terry and Alan should also benefit from focusing their minds on such a stiff test tomorrow. It has died down a lot and we have been able to concentrate on football. We are not right by any means but there are very hopeful signs. The manager Brian Horton has told us that we need a few more players to strengthen the team before we can make a challenger for trophies.”
