Swindon players could not get enough tickets for their friends and families as Liverpool were visiting that weekend. And their captain Ross Maclaren admitted that the town was bouncing ahead of the game but the points will have to follow soon.

Ross Maclaren said “The atmosphere in the town is red hot, these are the sort of games we are in the premier league for. Everyone in football admires Liverpool. They finished sixth and it’s a disaster, we would settle for sixth from bottom. There is a lot of pressure until we get our first win. It is a big year for a lot of our players who looked good in the first division, but now have to prove themselves against the best. I do think Liverpool’s style will suit us. They play football building from the back and allow you to do the same.”
