Former Everton player and Oldham Athletic winger Neil Adams was planning to pile on the pressure and agony on Graeme Souness and his Liverpool team. The in-form England under 21 player was confident that his side could pull off one of the shock results of the day to claim that third and most crucial away league one of the season

Neil Adams said “We will never have a better chance of beating Liverpool than at the present time they are struggling to get things together and now is the time to go and meet them we are certainly not going to Enfield to make up the numbers there will be no pressure on us as Liverpool will be expected to beat us despite the fact they are doing very badly themselves”

Adams has scored 5 goals in his previous seven Matches and was looking to inflict more pain on his Mercy side drivers
