Nottingham Forest 0 – Norwich 3

Norwich let the premier league know that the championship was a three-way battle as they crushed Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the city ground. And their emphatic win gave them the edge in the title race as they were one point clear of both, Manchester United and Aston Villa. And it was a former Red Devil, Mark Robins who fired Norwich ahead just before the half time. Further goals from Lee Power and Ian Crook put the result beyond doubt.

The result meant further trouble for Brian Clough’s side that looked destined to go down after another loss. Forest briefly hit back after the break and had three chances to pull level in the first ten minutes but they spurned them all.
