#PLHistory #premierleaguestories on March 13 1993 – Yellow Peril Norwich City a real threat according to #SteveStaunton

Steve Staunton

Steve Staunton looked beyond the fever pitch hype surrounding the Manchester United – Aston Villa match and warned everyone to “Beware Norwich.” The canaries represented a “yellow peril” to the championship hopes of the big two and Staunton felt that Villa and United could cancel each other out.

Steve Staunton said “Nobody’s talking about Norwich, but they’re only four points behind us. If one of us lose at Old Trafford, they’ll be that much closer and both of us have to play Norwich yet. The league won’t be won and lost with this match. Its another game with three points at stake no matter what anyone says.”
