Ian Rush predicted that Ryan Giggs’ skills will be what will win Manchester United the championship. Old Trafford whizz kid Giggs had hit a freighting streak of form as title-chasing United had become increasingly reliant on his deadly scoring skills. The welsh wonder winger had hit four times in United’s previous three games underlining his growing importance to the club and country.
Giggs was set to go against Ian Rush that weekend but his international teammate felt that he was a much-improved player.
Ian Rush said “I’ve noticed a big improvement in Ryan’s game over the last six months. Now he is looking to put other players in. We always knew that he had the talent but a little while ago he was simply very quick and just ran with the ball. I think the way he is coming along he will help United win the title this year.”
