Everton manager Howard Kendall reflected on a weekend of intense transfer talk which linked him, among others, to Wimbledon’s central defender John Scales and Liverpool pair Istvan Kozma and Nick tanner. Kendall refused to be drawn into the ongoing speculation but it seemed very certain that the Toffees had made inquiries.
Howard Kendall said “There have been no bids made for any players recently. I have made certain inquiries, but there is no truth in the Tanner/Kozma link. We have got a certain amount of money to spend but I am not going to say which positions we are looking to strengthen.”
