#PLHistory #PremierLeagueStories on Jan 25 1993 – We’re bang on course for the title – Manchester United keeper #PeterSchmeichel

Peter Schmeichel

Peter Schmeichel believed that Manchester United was on course to end their 26-year-old quest to bring back the Championship at Old Trafford. With the team bookies favorite to do the double, Schmeichel cautioned against the bet following an uncomfortably afternoon against second division Brighton. He reckoned that it showed how narrow the gap between success and the failure was in the cup.

Peter Schmeichel  said “We should win the league, because we’ve got the players and a strong squad to do it.”
