#mustread #PremierLeagueStories on Jan 2 1993 – Losses off the field not a worry for Blackburn Rovers as accounts show £8 million deficit

Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers chairman Rob Coar unveiled a loss of £8 million as they revealed the financial results but he insisted that it did not worry him. He said, “Jack Walker, who now holds 99 per cent of our shares, has invested £12 million in the club which more than takes care of the loss shown in the annual statement of accounts. We are involved in a major rebuilding programme both on and off the pitch. Steel tycoon Walker had pumped in huge sums of money for Kenny Dalglish to build his premier league team.
