Aston Villa could lose their famous ‘Brumbrella’ style roller cover when the Witton Lane stand was redeveloped. The new premier league rules meant that all the standing sections of the clubs had to be converted into all-seater post the Hillsborough disaster. The cover had helped Villa stage important matches despite poor weather conditions in the past. Villa was awaiting clearance from the fire and police services to see if it can continue to store the cover which was currently stored at the base of the stand. “If we lose it then it will mean us trying to protect the pitch in a different way.” Said stadium manager Ted Small
