Everton manager Howard Kendall admitted that his side must show a big improvement in 1993 to avoid the relegation battle come to the end of the season. He also hoped that success in the coca-cola cup and FA cup would boost the confidence and form of his side and the performances in the league shall improve as well. He said, “We are in a dangerous position at the bottom of the table. This game (V Wimbledon in FA Cup) is as important as the one at Chelsea last season. When we lost at Stamford Bridge everyone said out the season was over, that was effectively the case. We must keep our cup dreams alive and produce the goods.”
