In a battle of misfiring strikers, Middlesborough and Arsenal were set to take on each other in the premier league. Top strikers from both the clubs had been firing blanks lately. Paul Wilkinson from Borough and Ian Wright from Arsenal were set to be in action. Wilkinson, Middlesborough’s top scorer with nine goals, hadn’t found the net in the previous five games whereas Wright with 11 goals to his name that season was in the news for all the wrong reasons.
