#mustread #PremierLeagueStories on Dec 14 1992 – Heartbreak for #KennyDalglish on his return to #Anfield

Ian Rush Kenny Daglish

It was heartbreak for Kenny Dalglish on his return to his old stomping ground at Anfield as his title hopefuls Blackburn Rovers suffered a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool/ Substitute Mark Walters was the hero for Liverpool as he scored twice canceling out Alan Shearer’s goal first before sending the Kop faithful in ruptures minutes from the time. The crowd gave a great reception to their legend Dalglish but it was naturally forgotten once the match started and a strong performance was needed to put away the ghosts of losing the Merseyside derby to Everton.
