Liverpool manager Graeme Souness was facing possible action from the football association after his outspoken outburst against referee Brian Hill and Crystal Palace. Souness said, “ WE expected a dirty game and we certainly got one.” He was speaking post-Liverpool drew 1-1 with the palace in the coca-cola cup. The Merseyside outfit had already beaten the South Londoners 5-0 just a few days ago in the premier league. The game saw a lot of fouls one of which resulted in David Burrows suffering cartilage damage and was out for three months.
